Hi,
I would like to start a business. My sister is doing my web page. I like de idea to do it at home, of curse, YES!. Is about doing greeting cards, scrapbooking and more. I'm excited because i have being praying for on answer. I will let you know about my new home-business. Pray for me, i would need a lot of organization. In Christ all thing are possible. Love ya, Beatriz
I just started my own business 7 months ago in Randolph, New Jersey. It is called Jill's Place. We are a family lifestyle club- we offer classes for children 6 mos to 6years. We also have a 2500 sq ft. indoor playground, cafe, boutique and a spa. Check out our website- jillsplacenj.com.
We are putting together special playgroups, classes for moms, workshops for new parents and mom's nights out and parent survival nights- It is a great place to come to meet new people and get to meet other moms. You can actually sit at the cafe and see your children while they play.
Good Luck to all who have started their own business. Staying at home with the kids can be amazing- even more amazing when you have friends to hang with while you are doing it and places to go to actually get some time to yourself while you are with the kids!!!

Well, I commend you guys because I just started staying home with my boys, a 2 month old & a 3 yr old & I feel like I'm going nuts!! I feel stay at home thing is not for me, I'm so used to working & having my own money that I'm desperate to go back to work. I really don't need to work & would love to enjoy staying home but I don't know how to do it & enjoy it. I've thought about working from home but how??? Anyone have any tips!!!

Abby,
I bumped a key not sure what happened to everything else I just wrote. I am a "new in the field of stay at home moms". I have been working since my first was born. What has helped me with the insanity of staying at home is creating a schedule, staying motivated - doing things even when I don't want to and finding other moms to connect with. The best things I've done are getting involved in MOPS - mother of preschoolers- at a local church and than getting connected with moms there. Also, I have set aside me time. I get to shave my legs in peace no one can bother me for 30 minutes. Or I set up nap time as my time to get to read my real simple magazine that came in the mail 3 weeks ago. hehehe. I also set up play time with the kids so I have to put down the laundry I am folding and they get to have my undivided attention for 1 hour. Stuff like that. This strategy has helped me feel like I am accomplishing things, but my kids get me too. Hope this helps.
Jessica :)

Have you tried getting involved in playgroups or other activities like kindermusik, library story time, programs at your local zoo, etc. I enjoy staying home in and of itself, but I live in the country where I don't have close neighbors and such. To protect my sanity, I organized a mom's group (so both children and moms could have social time). We get together several times a month to play, plus a couple of us walk together for exercise a couple times a week (with the babies in strollers and the 3 year olds at preschool). Perhaps you would enjoy it more if you had regular adult interaction and social time for yourself even though it would be with kids in tow. Good luck...I know being a SAHM isn't for everyone, but I hope that you can find the joy and reward in it.
