We've been going to Dr. David Morris w/ Young Smiles - a pediatric dentist - for years. His staff is very sweet and he seems to have a good repore with the children. I love it because I can have all 3 boys seen at almost the same time so we're in and out in a short amount of time. They have a little play area that my boys enjoy as well. I recommend that you get a few referrals and then go and check them out before you make a decision.

I recommend running a BBB.com check prior to using a new doctor.

My kids go to Dr. Morris at Young Smiles. He is a great dentist. Paige (6 1/2) can be very apprehensive, but he and his staff always get her calmed right down. He always promises he will show/tell her exactly what will happen. She still really likes him even after having four of her teeth pulled. Amazing! They have a two story playhouse in their waiting room and you get a coin after your appointment to use to get a prize. For little ones, they do sit in your lap and put their head in the dental tech's lap.

I highly recommend Dr. Jason Law (510) 792-1551. I've taken all 3 of my girls there for 6 years now & have found them to be so professional yet super friendly, gentle, and patient. They're never in a hurry & take delight in the kids. Plus there's a great Thomas the Train table & trains in the waiting room, along with plenty of toys to occupy them in the exam room. Moms can be as hands-on as they want, too. Until your child is ready to sit on their own in the "big chair," they have mom hold her child in her lap & lean her back to rest on a pillow on the dentist's chair. It works great & helps any anxiety they may have.
