BOB jogging stroller

Hi Moms!

I'm wondering who all has experienced having the BOB jogger (Revolution) shimmy while jogging? Is this normal? I thought this was something the BOB was known for not doing?

Any tips would be great! I bought an '06 off Craigslist and am bummed it shimmies while taking it out and about...

Thanks!

mine shimmy's all the time...bummer, but I now lock my wheel. Many friends in stroller strides can run with their s without the shimmy. I went to REI and they didn't do anything to fix it but suggested locking out the wheel. Hope that helps:)

I too have a revolution and it does the same thing if the front wheel is not locked. My friend has the identical stroller and she can run with it no problem with the front wheel free. I am disappointed in the wobble too. Let me know if it's fixable and I'll bring mine in too.

Mine has never done that. I love my Bob. A bike shop may be able to help with a repair or call the company.

Hi, I sell BOB's and love them. Your front wheel will start to shimmy if you run with it in swivel position for any length of time. You should run or go up hills with it in fixed wheel position. I too would call BOB customer service at this point as I do not know how to tell you to stop the shimmying. I know you have tracking for when it veers left or right in fixed wheel position. It might be as easy as a simple part replacement. Good luck and enjoy your runs with your little one. Sincerely, Joggermom

i LOVED my BOB revolution. perhaps a lighter hand while jogging will decrease the shimmy. i NEVER locked my front wheel and dont remember having a problem. i trained for 2 marathons with it!

check that the wheels are inflated enough and that they are tightened. also....try locking or unlocking the front wheel.

Do you have the front wheel locked? If not it is really not safe to jog with it loose this is what may be causing the shimmy you are talking about. I love mine and have had it for four years and have since purchased a double. Also, check to make sure the wheels are pushed all the way in and locked. I move mine around alot and sometimes the lock gets knocked open. Hope this helps.

I have tried it in lock, and it doesn't shimmy, but I thought the whole point of the BOB was that it didn't shimmy in either mode? I originally had a Jeep jogger and sold it b/c it did the same thing. I prefer the swivel mode for jogging around corners. Big bummer!

We have a jogging stroller that shimmies as well. I think it's worse when the front wheel is in swivel mode. Have you tried contacting the manufacturer?

i'm pretty sure you can lock the front wheel. there's a red ball that adjusts and keeps the front wheel straight.
