Yes, Earth's Best and Happy Babies are great. This is how I ''test' the food first before making it homeade.Example, My other kids don't like sweet potatoes, but my baby loves them. I fist bought a jar to try it out so I didn't have to cook it all up first to find out he didn't want it.

Homemade baby food is the best. It's not as hard as some think and saves you a lot of money. If you don't already have one I recomend getting a steamer (steamed is the healthiest) and food processor. They don't have to be fancy or expensive. Buy fresh fruits and veggies when possible, but frozen or canned will work too. Peal and cut into chunks. Steam fruit or veggie until mushy (usually 15-20 min.). Retain the liquid collected from the steamer. Then put chuncks into the food processor a little at a time and puree. If you need to add some of the liquid you retained (you will need to do this with most veggies, but not the fruits). Once food is pureed to your liking spoon into icecube trays and freeze. When frozen removed from trays and put into a labled ziploc freezer bag. When you are ready to use take out the desired numbered of cubes (most trays are 1.5 - 2 oz. per cube) place in microwave safe dish and heat just until warm (30-45 sec. is usually enough). I did this with all 4 of my kids and to this day they still love fruits and veggies. This would take about 4 hours over a 2 day period (1 for fruits and 1 for veggies) and I would have enough baby food for a month.

We try and make organic, homemade baby food as often as we can. However, on days that life gets to hectic, I use Happy Babies, Happy Bellies food. It is great. We started our daughter on the organic brown rice cereal with DHA and Probiotics. They also have multi-grain cereal and oatmeal. Once she got accustomed to the cereals, we introduced YoBaby plain yogurt. We mixed in veggies and fruit. Happy Baby also sells frozen organic baby food as well. It is great!

Don't be intimidated by making your own! It's quick and cheap. All you need is a food mill and some ice cube trays and you're off and running. An added plus- less garbage!

Stonyfield Farm has a yogurt formulated for babies 6 months and up. They are a great organic yogurt company. I actually buy the yogurts for myself as well! It's delicious. My 4 year old and I always have to share the last container until we can get more from the store. I can't wait until my son, who is now 5 months, is old enough to have some.
