Preparing to be a new mom has a lot of mixed emotions.  You feel joy, excitement, stress, worry, physical pain and more.  One of the best parts of the preparation process is buying all the items you need before the new baby arrives.  Most moms go to those big baby stores to register for the items they need and want for their little one.  However many new moms are overwhelmed when they walk into those big baby stores.  There are so many items to choose from most new moms think they need one of everything.  Being a new mom myself, I thought I had to have any gadget and/or gear that would make my life and my baby's life easier.  I bought a baby wipe warmer, portable baby wipe warmer, bottle warmer, a machine to sanitize toys and nuks, and pretty much anything that would keep my child germ free.  Because I was so concerned with all the things I thought I needed, I started to lose sight of the fun part...dressing the baby.  Most of you are probably lucky enough to know someone who is a m... read more »

It is that time of year when we start to dig out our sweaters, jackets and coats.  My daughter was one year old last year so I really did not take her out much when the weather was bad or too cold.  Since we live in the South, we have a few cold days and a lot of wet days.  This year we will be spending Thanksgiving in Denver, Colorado, so we will have to actually buy winter clothes.  Since I never bought winter clothes for my daughter, I thought I better do a little research. I like coats or jackets that do not restrict your child's movement.  We all know how much kids squirm and like to run around.  If my daughter cannot move the way she wants to move, she will be squealing right along with the squirming!  These coats also need to keep your child nice and toasty.  Babies and toddlers can suffer from hypothermia very quickly if they are exposed to low temperatures.  Also, with this crazy flu season we are having we want to make sure our little ones are kept warm and dry. Hats are a... read more »
