Agriculture futures trade lower on the Chicago Board of Trade; beef and pork prices mixed
CHICAGO
Agriculture futures fell Friday on the Chicago Board of Trade.
Wheat for December delivery slipped 0.25 cent to $4.785 a bushel, while December corn fell 5 cents to $3.1075 a bushel and November soybeans lost 5.5 cents to $9.36 a bushel. Oats for December delivery fell 3.5 cents to $2.055 a bushel.
Meanwhile, beef and pork futures traded mixed on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.
October live cattle was slightly lower by 0.02 cent at 86.7 cents a pound; October feeder cattle gained 0.18 cent to 98.55 cents a pound; October lean hogs fell 0.07 cent to 49.7 cents a pound; and February pork bellies rose 2 cents to 82.87 cents a pound.
